Documenting Collaboration and Creativity: The IncluMusic Video Project

As the IncluMusic project approaches its conclusion in October 2025, partners across Europe have come together to create a digital chronicle that captures the evolution, achievements, and collaborative spirit that defined this three-year Erasmus+ initiative. The video – soon to be featured on the IncluMusic website – serves not only as a record of the project’s milestones but also as a celebration of the partnerships and shared commitment that brought it to fruition.

IncluMusic has been a transnational collaboration between five key partners:

  • The Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM), Dublin, Ireland
  • Gheorghe Dima National Academy of Music (ANMGD), Cluj-Napoca, Romania – project coordinator
  • Libera Università Maria Ss. Assunta (LUMSA), Rome, Italy
  • Conservatorio di Musica Alessandro Scarlatti (ConsPa), Palermo, Italy
  • European University Cyprus (EUC), Nicosia, Ciprus
  • project consultancy by Resolvo, Italy
  • dissemination by The Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC)

Together, these institutions have worked to design and implement an innovative self-paced online training course for teachers and administrative staff across European higher education institutions. The course aims to enhance understanding and capacity to support students with special educational needs, additional needs, and neurodivergences, equipping educators with inclusive pedagogical tools and strategies.

Capturing Three Years of Progress

The video brings together a rich collection of photographs, recordings, and presentation materials that document the project’s trajectory – from its inception in November 2022 to its completion in October 2025. The visual archive includes images and videos captured at conferences, workshops, and symposia held both within partner institutions and at international events, including the International Relations Conferences in Leuven and Dublin and the AEC National Congresses.

Complemented by selected PowerPoint slides and project visuals, the video provides an overview of the project’s structure, work packages, and outputs. It highlights the development process of the course content and modules, the behind-the-scenes collaboration on presentations and workshops, and the extensive dissemination efforts undertaken at European academic events.

Beyond its documentation of academic and technical achievements, the video pays tribute to the human dimension of IncluMusic. Over the course of three years, project partners have cultivated strong professional and personal relationships, working together across countries, time zones, and languages. Through online zoom meetings, in-person collaborations, and international exchanges, the consortium demonstrated resilience, creativity, and unwavering commitment to shared goals.

This spirit of collaboration was reflected not only in the design and testing of the course – through partnerships with internal and external evaluators – but also in the mutual learning and intercultural understanding that developed along the way. IncluMusic stands as a testament to how innovation in inclusive education can also foster meaningful human connections.

Looking Ahead

The completed video will serve multiple purposes:

  • As a digital representation of the project’s achievements and collaborative process;
  • As a visual narrative of the construction of the IncluMusic course;
  • As a celebration of the project’s conclusion and impact.

The full version will be hosted on the IncluMusic website and partner platforms, while a shortened version will be adapted for social media dissemination via Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. These efforts will ensure the project’s visibility and accessibility for at least the next five years, during which the course will continue to be available under Erasmus+ funding until 2030.

In essence, this video encapsulates not only the intellectual and creative labour behind IncluMusic but also the friendship, collaboration, and shared purpose that have defined the partnership. It stands as both a commemorative record and a forward-looking symbol of the inclusive, collaborative future that European higher education strives to build.
